Working in a brand new HealthCare facility has provided an exciting workplace for our volunteers at Epworth Eastern.
The information desk team, the newspaper trolley group, the volunteer administration workers and the HeartSmart support people feel they share in the growth and development of this innovative hospital.
Volunteering at Epworth Healthcare is all about becoming part of a team.
Every volunteer is recognised and appreciated for the work they carry out, and while volunteers do not supplant paid staff, their assistance helps patients and visitors feel more comfortable and relaxed during their hospital visit.
The variety of duties undertaken by volunteers at the different Epworth HealthCare campuses creates an interesting, diverse and enriching experience. Volunteers undergo full training and orientation prior to starting and people in the departments where they work are also given advice on the partnership of working with volunteers.
