Pastoral Care is offered to help people deal with the stresses and personal concerns that may arise whilst in hospital. We can spend time with you, listening to your concerns and offering support.
Epworth employs chaplains and pastoral care staff for the purpose of providing pastoral care to patients, relatives and staff. Accredited visitors from some faith traditions also visit, and when necessary, may also be called upon in emergency situations. Pastoral Care contributes to the holistic care of people, providing support and counsel around personal, existential and spiritual concerns, especially at times of acute anxiety and loss. Support is offered regardless of religious or other beliefs, and no attempt is made to intrude or impose particular beliefs.
We can also assist in providing for particular spiritual or religious needs such as prayer and sacraments. If you need the help of your own faith or denomination, we would be pleased to help arrange this for you.
Epworth Eastern pastoral care staff are Harriet Zeigler and Julie Young.
