Transitional Living Centre
The Transitional Living Centre is staff by a skilled specialist team consisting of:
- Occupational Therapists
- Social Workers
- Psychologists
- Allied Health Assistants
The service provides a unique rehabilitation programme assisting persons with brain injury regain skills to enable them to return to live in the community.
The centre consists of a house and 4 units based in Thornbury. The patient lives in the centre for the period of their program and is then assisted to relocate into their own place.
The program may be provided in conjunction with other community based therapy.
This program is available for those patients covered by insurance, e.g. the Transport Accident Commission, and is available for public non-compensable patients.
