GP Liaison Unit

The GP Liaison Unit is the primary point of contact for general practitioners to Epworth. The role of the team is to help strengthen the relationship between Epworth and GPs to enhance patient care.

We do this by providing a comprehensive education program for GPs, raising awareness of the services and medical expertise available at Epworth and improving communication between Epworth and GPs.

Since its establishment in 2000, the GP Liaison Unit has grown to annually provide over 100 RACGP accredited quality education meetings to around 1000 GPs from Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The meetings are delivered through a broad range of learning modalities. This includes holding education programs at Epworth Clinical Education and Simulation Centre where GPs can update their clinical skills and knowledge. Furthermore, the education program provides an excellent opportunity for Epworth to engage with GPs.
