Payment of Account

Patient Administration staff will contact patients prior to admission that have out of pocket expenses to advise of "estimated" costs.

On admission further financial information will be provided to you and any other potential costs explained.  You will be requested to sign an Informed Financial Consent Form outlining the estimated costs.  All out of pocket expenses (including excess and co-payments and nil insured fees) are required to be paid on admission.

Epworth Freemasons will submit a Hospital Claim Form to your health insurance on your behalf for all privately insured patients and Veteran Affair patients.

All self-insured patients will be required to pay "estimated" fees on admission.  If treatment cost exceeds the estimated costs the difference is payable on discharge.

Please be aware that only the hospital fees are payable at the hospital.  Doctor's fees, Aneasthetic, Allied Health fees will be billed separately in addition to hospital fees.  These fees are not payable at the hospital.  Pharmacy, Radiology, Pathology Services may also attract additional fees.

Epworth Freemasons accepts cash, cheque, Eftpos, and all credit cards including American Express.  For your convenience we have ATM located on the ground floor, opposite Main Reception.
