The General Surgical Unit (Ward 1 East), comprises 31 beds and hosts a variety of Surgical Disciplines including:
- Breast Surgery
- Urology
- Abdominal
- Colorectal
- Upper Gastointestinal
- Hepataobiliary
- Bariatrics
The unit is made up of both single and shared rooms. Room allocation will depend on availability at the time of admission. Please note, every effort will be made to meet your room requests.
The staff on Ward 1 East are highly qualified in all surgical sub specialities and pride themselves in the delivery of exceptional nursing care. The staff are also supported by a full time clinical facilitator, Breast Care Consultants and Urology Nurse Specialist whoa re readily available to assist and encourage learning at all levels.
