- 10 cot Special Care Nursery
Each private suite has modern and spacious decor and is fully equipped with its own en-suite, mini fridge, television and telephone.
Should it be necessary to utilise the shared rooms during your stay, nursing staff will endeavour to move you to a single room at the earliest opportunity.
To accommodate partners, several private suites have queen size beds, allowing you and your partner the opportunity to relax and enjoy a few private moments with the new addition to your family. A limited number of fold away beds are available for use in private rooms.
The nurses' station is only a short distance away should you require any assistance or advice, at anytime, day and night.

Booking your stay at Epworth Freemasons
Epworth Freemasons is, understandably, a very popular maternity hospital, so to avoid disappointment make sure you organise your booking very early in your pregnancy. There is no booking fee. It is also advisable that you contact your health fund prior to booking to determine your insurance entitlements.

Birthing suites
Our modern, birthing suites are host to the latest technological support, which is blended discreetly into the decor of the rooms creating a harmonious, safe and personal environment. For that extra measure of safety, a fully equipped operating theatre is nearby to deal with any complications and we have a Special Care Nursery.
Our Maternity staff are committed to providing you with informed choices in childbirth. Our expert team of midwives will provide you and your family with personalised care, advice and support, discussing with you the various choices and facilities available.
Meals may be ordered from the catering service for your partner or support people, while you are in labour. Mothers and their babies usually stay a few hours in the birthing suites following the birth before being transferred to one of our post-natal facilities. The baby remains with the parents at all times, unless transfer to the Special Care Nursery is required.

Special Care Nursery
At Epworth Freemasons we are there to hold your hand through every part of the journey. Sometimes a baby may need to spend time in the Special Care Nursery. The Special Care Nursery is a ten cot high-dependency nursery for the care of ill and premature babies. If your baby does need extra care, you can be comforted to know that our expert team of highly trained professionals will be there to nurture and promote a return to health wherever possible. Our staff work tirelessly and with great dedication and the nursery is staffed around the clock.
We understand the intense feelings and anxieties of parents in these difficult and challenging times, and we are there to offer all the help and assistance possible. We are happy to say that we have seen many babies make wonderful progress and experience an exciting and inspiring homecoming with their family.
Epworth Freemasons at the Park Hyatt
Relax at the Park Hyatt in exquisite, luxury accommodation after your birth, through our maternity hotel program. Through our commitment to providing high quality, safe care to all mothers and babies we are aware of the need to assist parents and families with the transition to parenthood. Bonding with your baby is an emotional and amazing experience and we are here to help you on this life-changing journey.
The Epworth Freemasons maternity hotel program offers the same level of care as you will receive in hospital in a non-clinical, more relaxed environment. If you are eligible, you, together with your partner and baby will be able to spend the remainder of your stay at the Hospital in the Hyatt and will be discharged home from the Hyatt.
With the consent of your obstetrician, you and your baby will be transferred across to the Park Hyatt where Epworth Freemason’s experienced midwives staff the Hospital in the Hotel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The hotel is luxurious and relaxing, and you can be comforted with the fact that professional, trained staff are there if you need any assistance.
