Oral and maxillofacial surgery is concerned with surgically reconstructing facial malformations caused by diseases of the head and neck or caused by traumatic accidents.
Surgery also includes the removal of teeth, in particular wisdom teeth and the surrounding oral tissues. This surgery is performed in the Day Surgery Unit at Epworth Freemasons in Victoria Parade.
