Over recent generations, life expectancy of women in Australia has increased significantly. To maintain good health throughout their longer lives, women need to have an informed and active involvement in the management of their health care, from adolescence to mature age.

Women who balance the demands of a busy life, whether it be in pursuit of a career or combining work with raising a family, find it difficult to consider their own health and well being.

The Epworth Freemasons Women's Health Clinic provides a comprehensive and convenient health assessment and advice service, which caters for the specific concerns of young women including contraception, fertility, depression and weight management.

For older women, the physical and hormonal changes associated with menopause and the ageing process can be challenging. With the understanding and professional guidance provided by our Clinic staff, these changes can be modified and quality of life maintained.

Our Staff

The female doctors and staff at the Women's Health Clinic provide a professional and caring approach to primary health care delivery. If problems exist, they can offer you individual advice, opinion and treatment.

When you make an appointment at the Women's Health Clinic, you won't feel rushed. You will be seen by a female doctor who has a special interest in women's health and who has the time to really listen to your concerns.

Your first appointment at the Clinic normally takes about 40 minutes, which allows ample time for potential problems to be discussed, diagnosed and, if necessary, tested. If diagnostic tests are required, they can be carried out on the premises immediately, with results often available on the same day.

To attend the Clinic, a doctor's referral is not required and most Clinic fees are recoverable from Medicare. A bulk billing facility is available for pensioners.
