Breast Cancer Screening
Community awareness of breast disease, particularly breast cancer, has improved significantly over recent years leading more women to seek expert advice. Our service provides access to a female doctor with experience in breast health, a radiology department for mammograms and/or ultrasound tests and access to a breast surgeon if required. This service is offered as a single appointment in a quiet and relaxed environment. Patients should allow four hours for an appointment in our Breast Clinic.
Menopause
It is important for a woman to have a healthy well-balanced diet and participate in regular exercise during menopause. Advice and support from one of our Women’s Health Clinic doctors will assist you in managing menopause. The doctor will discuss the options available to you in a relaxed and comfortable environment where you will not feel rushed.
Incontinence
Incontinence is the loss of voluntary control over bladder or bowel function and is estimated to affect more than four million Australians every year. Incontinence can affect a person’s self-esteem, motivation, dignity, independence and ability to enjoy intimate relationships. An appointment with one of our Women’s Health Clinic doctors will assist you in managing and/or curing the problem.
Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)
Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) involves physical and mood changes related to menstruation. PMS is common, affecting around 40 per cent of women. Symptoms may include fatigue, difficulty concentrating, food cravings, changes in libido, fluid retention, bloating, skin changes, breast swelling or tenderness and headache. Our Women’s Health Clinic creates an environment where you can feel comfortable discussing your symptoms with one of our doctors, enabling you to receive the right advice and assistance.
Gynaecological
Our Women’s Health Clinic doctors have many years’ experience. The Clinic offers a full range of general gynaecological services, from Pap tests and examinations to referrals for highly specialised procedures. General gynaecology includes endometriosis, pelvic floor disorders, fibroids and hysterectomies. Our female doctors will offer sympathetic consultation in a comfortable environment.
