Recent Acquisitions

In June 2010, Epworth HealthCare acquired the assets of Cliveden Hill Private Hospital, now known as Epworth Cliveden. The hospital has operated for over 100 years and in recent times has become a boutique facility specialising in cosmetic, plastic and reconstruction surgery, gynaecology and maxillofacial surgery. The hospital is a 28-bed facility with 2 operating theatres.

Set amongst picturesque tree-lined streets, the old world charm of this boutique hospital is apparent to all who pass by and visit. Cliveden Hill has a long and rich history, which is beautifully captured as you walk through the front entrance of this stately mansion. The building, designed in the arcaded Italianate style, was originally built as a home in 1878 and 22 years later, in 1900 it was converted into a hospital.

Some minor refurbishment of the facility has occurred since Epworth HealthCare acquired the hospital and Epworth Cliveden reopened for business on 10 June 2010.
