The Australian Government Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA)
Each year The Australian Government Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency, EOWA, identifies the best human resource practices from over 3000 organisations by assessing their workplace programs and building relationships with them.
Best practices include providing mentoring and career development opportunities for women, changing shift hours to accommodate staff members with family responsibilities or offering part time work or paid maternity leave.
Epworth HealthCare has been part of this process and in addition has successfully applied each year for the EOWA Employer of Choice for Women EOCFW citation, since its inception in 2001.
Epworth HealthCare is amongst 116 employers included on the EOCFW list which publicly acknowledges organisations for their efforts in the area of equal opportunity for women in the workplace.
Epworth HealthCare has policies and practices that support women across the organisation and has had positive outcomes for women and the business.
