Professional Development

Epworth HealthCare is committed to the professional development of nurses and has a well reputed graduate program, as well as inservice programs free to Epworth HealthCare Nurses, to maintain skills and advance clinical practice. In collaboration with major universities Epworth also provides an extensive range of post graduate educational opportunities for nursing staff.

Epworth HealthCare was the first private hospital in conjunction with Deakin University to appoint a Professor of Nursing. This position supports and facilitates nursing research through the The Centre for Clinical Nursing Research located at Epworth Richmond. The Centre is led by Epworth's Chair of Nursing Professor Mari Botti, and is supported by a number of nurse researchers.

Staff are supported by Clinical Resource Nurses on each Unit and many management opportunities exist for nurses at Epworth HealthCare from Team Leader to Senior Nursing roles including Clinical Care Coordinators, Infection Control and Nurse Educators.
