About the Program
The programs intend to assist participants in re-registration or initial registration, if from overseas, with AHPRA as well as providing orientation into the acute care/ maternity environment and resources required to re-establish a career in the acute/maternity setting.

We value participants past nursing/ midwifery, work and life experience while recognising the importance of establishing a workforce comprising of nurses and midwives of all backgrounds and experience levels.
Program overview
The course requires a minimum of 240 (RTP)/280 (IRON) hours and a maximum of 480 hours including 80 hours of theory.
Criteria for completion
An assessment will be based on:
- Letter of approval from the Nurses Board giving approval for the program and, where indicated, documented evidence of proficiency in English by an accredited course provider
- Satisfactory completion of Theoretical Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of competencies / core skills in the workbook
- Satisfactory evaluation utilising the Competency Tool
- Satisfactory attendance or required Clinical Content Hours
