The Victorian Cancer Council Helpline Manager Mary Mercovich and her colleague Edwina Beddoes will join a panel of Epworth Freemasons experts for this year’s Pink Ribbon Day Survivorship Seminar at the Park Hyatt Hotel on Monday 26 October.
Specialist breast surgeon Professor John Collins and medical oncologist Dr Richard de Boer will sit alongside oncology counsellor, Jo Gniel, physiotherapist Kate Rogers will join the two helpline experts to share experiences and answer questions about the physical and emotional needs of families affected by breast cancer.
Damian Amour CEO Epworth Freemasons said that the seminar is a great opportunity to learn about treatment options, intimate relationships, alternative medicine and who cares for carers.
“This is your chance to hear from and talk with Australia’s leading experts about a cancer that every woman fears at some stage in her life”, Mr Armour said. “Entry is by gold coin donation with proceeds going to the Cancer Council Victoria.”
“Professor John Collins is a dedicated breast surgeon, Head of the Breast units at Freemasons, the Royal Melbourne and the Royal Women's Hospitals.
