How long will my appointment take?
The length of time you will need depends on the type of HealthCheck that you have booked.
- Essential HealthCheck - one 2hr appointment plus prior pathology collection
- Advanced HealthCheck - two half days and one 30 minute appointment
- Ultimate HealthCheck - two half days and one 30 minute appointment
When you make your appointment we will send you an itinerary.
Where is HealthCheck located?
HealthCheck is located on Level 8, 459 Little Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000
Is this HealthCheck covered by my health fund?
HealthCheck is a screening procedure and the level of cover varies between funds, and also depends on your level of coverage. Some funds cover up to $150 however you will need to check this with your health fund provider.
Is HealthCheck covered by medicare?
No. A rebate is only provided by Medicare if the screening program is conducted by your usual GP.
Will my employer be sent a copy of my Healthcheck report?
No, details of your HealthCheck are entirely confidential.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, you do not require a referral for a HealthCheck.
Who can have a HealthCheck?
Anybody can have a HealthCheck.
How much does it cost?
An Epworth HealthCheck starts from $1100.00.

Where do I go for Pathology collection?
You can go to any Melbourne Pathology provider. If you wish to use an alternative supplier, please advise HealthCheck reception on 03 9426 8888.
Where do I go for Radiology?
Radiology is provided by Richmond Diagnostic Imaging at Epworth Richmond. Your schedule of appointments will be sent to you after making a booking. Please follow all instructions provided.
How often should I have a HealthCheck?
This depends on your age and the state of your health. Our doctors will provide a recommendation.
What if I forget some of the information I am told at my HealthCheck?
You will be sent a full report that includes your results and all of the doctor's findings and recommendations for your records.
