Registrar and Fellowship Program

Epworth HealthCare now has 47 Registrar and Fellow positions in various speciality areas across the campuses. Several medical colleges have accredited Epworth facilities as registered training sites, increasing Epworth’s ability to offer postgraduate medical training across a broad range of specialities.

Epworth has also continued to participate in the Commonwealth Specialist Training Program for Registrars, and has provided seed funding for several positions.

The Registrar and Fellows Administration Officer oversees the administrative functions of Registrars and Fellows. This involves:

• Liaising with Austin Health, Eastern Health, Southern Health, the Royal Women’s and Epworth HealthCare departments to ensure Registrars and Fellows on rotation to Epworth Healthcare have a smooth transition.
• Coordinate sponsorship and visa applications for oncoming overseas medical staff, seeking advice from the Department of Immigration & Citizenship
• Assist Registrars and Fellows with registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA).
• Organise orientation for new Registrars & Fellows to Epworth Healthcare.
