Medical Practice at Epworth



Specialists at Epworth HealthCare are supported by the Medical Workforce team, led by the Executive Director Academic & Medical and the Group Manager, Medical Workforce.


The Medical Workforce team works to provide a high level of administrative services and support to all Epworth medical staff. The team ensures that cooperative relationships are developed and maintained between specialists and key stakeholders in line with Epworth values, and strategic and operational objectives.

 

The views of accredited specialists are heard through the Medical Advisory Committees in each Epworth division.



Accepting applications for the annual Peter J Dohrmann Medal


We are now accepting applications for the annual Peter J Dohrmann Medal.


The Peter J Dohrmann Medal has been established to support the professional development of Epworth medical practitioners through assisting the expansion of their knowledge and/or expertise with a travel and study grant up to the value of $10,000 to be taken during the following 12 months.


The Medal honours the significant contribution which Peter J Dohrmann made to Epworth HealthCare and to patients during his ten years of services as Epworth HealthCare’s Executive Director Medical Services and twenty five years as a neurosurgeon.

Medical Appointment to Practice 


Epworth HealthCare has over 2,500 doctors participating in a wide variety of specialties across its campuses. All doctors who work at Epworth HealthCare require formal appointment to practice in accordance with the provision of the Epworth Foundation By-Laws.
