About Epworth Clinic
Epworth Clinic is a mental health service located in Camberwell, only 10km from Melbourne CBD. Epworth Clinic offers patients support to help break through their challenges.
Services range from group day patient programs , outpatient appointments with psychiatrists on site, as well as dedicated inpatient programs.
The Epworth mental health team is made up of caring and professional nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and psychiatrists specialising in various mental health streams. Our team is here to work with you, together.

General practitioners and medical specialists are required to contact our intake coordinator to facilitate a referral to Epworth Clinic's inpatient and day program services. Call 03 9805 4338.
The intake coordinator will triage the patient's appropriateness for Epworth Clinic and make recommendations based on the referral and our assessment. The patient must have been assessed by a GP, psychiatrist or mental health clinician within the last 72 hours to determine the current mental state of the patient and ability to consent to treatment as a private patient.
Referrals can then be directly faxed to 03 9805 4233 or sent to ERC.firstname.lastname@example.org
It is important to check with the patient's private health insurer prior to being admitted to confirm that they are covered for treatment. Most patients are covered as long as no exclusions on psychiatry or basic hospital cover apply in their policy. (“Basic cover” excludes psychiatry). Should patients need to add these to their current policy, please be aware of the potential qualifying periods that apply.
