Epworth Hawthorn offers a multidisciplinary concussion screening and assessment clinic, developed to assess and manage individuals who display ongoing concussion

symptoms. 


These symptoms may include:

 

  • Headache
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Confusion
  • Fatigue
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Unexplained irritability
  • Dizziness and balance issues
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Anxiety or depression

About the Concussion Clinic


The clinic is an extension of Epworth Rehabilitation's renowned Traumatic Brain Injury Unit.


This clinic is run by Professor John Olver, world renowned expert in brain injury rehabilitation, and Dr Jo Sherry, PhD doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology. 


Listen to Professor Olver discuss the symptoms, risks and implications of concussion.  


Other members of the team include senior vestibular physiotherapists and exertional exercise physiologists. Return to work, return to driving and return to sport assessments are also included as needed.
