The Operating Theatre Suite consists of 11 theatres.
Specialties include:

- Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)
- Bariatric/weight loss surgery
There are over 10000 procedures performed annually.
There are 2 digital theatres that have state of the art facilities with the latest technologies that allow best quality images. These theatres are currently used by both Orthopaedic and General surgeons.
Staff have the option to be either dedicated to a specialty team or rotate through all specialties to enhance their skills. A Clinical Facilitator provides support for all staff, including the post graduate program, new graduates, new starters and staff wanting to update their skills. All specialties have an appointed Team Leader and Clinical Nurse Specialists to ensure that expert guidance can be sort at any time.
Theatres are staffed 24 hours a day seven days a week. Specialist Cardiac nurses are on call out of hours, weekends are also supported by on call staff for the general theatres.

Day Surgery Unit
Epworth Richmond has 4 dedicated Day Operating Theatres and 2 Endoscopy Rooms within the Day Surgery Unit.
A wide range of procedures are performed in the areas of:
- Gynaecology
- IVF
- Plastic surgery
- Urology including Lithotripsy
- Ophthalmology
- General surgery
- Orthopaedic
- Oral surgery
- Gastroenterology
- Robotic Assisted Surgery
Patients are usually admitted just before surgery, resulting in minimal waiting times.
