Holiday not what you planned? Why wait?

Every summer, the population of the Bellarine and Surf Coast grows by almost 170,000 people - most of them travelling far and wide to enjoy a beach holiday with family and friends.

When things go wrong and an emergency or illness arises during these planned for carefree moments, it may be comforting to know that Epworth Geelong Emergency Department is open from 8am to midnight every day of the week.

Staffed by an expert team of doctors and nurses, led by Dr Matt Ryan, the Waurn Ponds Emergency Department is located right next to Deakin University, at the far end of Epworth Place (off Pigdons Road) past the visitor car park and main entrance.

Patients will be provided with comprehensive emergency treatment and have direct access to diagnostic services, operating theatres and a wide range of on-call specialists or referral services.
