Overview
At Epworth HealthCare,
our vision and purpose ensures that our patients are at the centre of all we
do. We strive to improve health outcomes
and experience through compassion, collaboration, learning and innovation. To
ensure that we meet our goals in improving your health outcomes, we measure our
performance against national benchmarks for a range of patient safety and
quality measures. Where no national standards exist, we set our own. In fact,
we often set higher standards for ourselves – we don’t just want to provide
good care, we want to provide the best care.

Accreditation
Epworth is
accredited under the National Safety and Quality Health Services (NSQHS)
Standards. The 10 mandatory standards provide a national statement about the
level of care consumers can expect from health service organisations. For
further information, please click here [takes them to a page where each of the
fact sheets are linked].
Accreditation is a formal process whereby an independent team of healthcare
professionals review the quality and safety of services provided. The team rates our performance against each
criteria.
In 2016, Epworth was successfully accredited against the NSQHS Standards. We
received 31 Met with Merit ratings which highlights that we consistently
provide a high level of care to our patients.
