Epworth is connecting a host of clinical experts to showcase innovations in clinical practice across rehabilitation, pain and mental health.

Held in Melbourne from 26-27 October, the 2018 Innovations in Rehabilitation and Mental Health National Conference is presented by the Epworth Rehabilitation, Mental Health and Chronic Pain Clinical Institute.

Friday 26 October: Workshops

  • Spasticity: advanced training program (held at Epworth Richmond)
  • Pain science and the changing face of healthcare (held at Epworth Camberwell) 

Saturday 27 October: Conference

The conference on Saturday 27 October 2018 will offer delegates an opportunity to learn from the vast experience and expertise of more than 50 speakers from Epworth, Alfred Health, Monash University, Monash Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre, Epworth Monash Rehabilitation Medicine Unit, Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre, ProMotion and TAC. 


They will present across several streams which include acquired and traumatic brain injury, concussion, amputee rehabilitation, mental health and pain management. Doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and students alike will walk away from the conference with great insight into these areas of patient care.


A plenary session on mindfulness will open the program, led by Dr Craig Hassed who is an internationally-recognised speaker on holistic, integrative and mind-body medicine in medical practice, together with others who will discuss mindfulness in the areas of compassion, mental health, neuroscience and meditation.
