Bodywise: weight and nutrition reconditioning

Bodywise is a reconditioning program for people diagnosed with obesity, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, coronary heart disease, stroke or osteoarthritis.

The program aims to help maximise or restore independence, movement, exercise tolerance and endurance.

We achieve this by providing tools, knowledge and support that will empower you to change your behaviours to achieve optimal nutrition, manage your weight and improve your overall health.

Who is the program for?

There are two streams of this reconditioning program:

  1. After a bariatric procedure
To support you after a bariatric procedure such as surgery or insertion of a gastric balloon. This stream may also be suitable if you are waiting to undergo a bariatric procedure.

  2. Lifestyle/non-procedure
To support you if you would like to take a multidisciplinary, non-procedural approach to weight management and have not had a bariatric procedure/ surgery. This stream may also be suitable if you are considering a bariatric procedure but would first benefit from a program to assist with improving the health risks associated with obesity.
