Dr Vivek Nigam

Dr Vivek Nigam commenced as Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director of Medical Services (Interim) at Epworth HealthCare in May 2023. His portfolio includes medical leadership, clinical governance, research, innovation and professional lead for all doctors at Epworth. Vivek, who has been with Epworth for four years, is an experienced executive medical leader and has previously held similar positions of Executive Director Medical Services and Clinical Governance for Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District and Group Director of Medical Services at Central Coast Local Health District.

Vivek is a Fellow of RACMA, Master of Health Administration from LaTrobe University and a Graduate of the Harvard executive program on managing healthcare delivery. Vivek has over 20 years experience in clinical and medical leadership roles in the public and private sector across Australia and he has led multiple organisational and state level innovation and projects.
