Grand Rounds occur every Tuesday, commencing at 12.30 pm. As restricted access to the hospital is in place, Grand Rounds is currently broadcast via Zoom.
We anticipate a return to the Auditorium soon. Lunch is provided.

Cardiac Sciences Weekly Breakfast Meeting - Wednesdays 7.30am – 8.20am
Every Wednesday morning at 7.30am the Cardiac Sciences Institute hosts a breakfast meeting. Presentations range from surgical talks, case reviews, audits, and intensive care medicine.
Following the presentation, there is an opportunity for Q&A. At present, these meetings are held virtually, however we expect to return to the Richmond auditorium soon. Breakfast is provided.

Clinical Training
Life support (eg advanced and paediatric) and other clinical training sessions (eg cardiac echo) are provided throughout the year. Several sessions are held a year at a fee for specialists. For further information on upcoming training sessions please email: [email protected] or phone 03 8420 2535.
Leadership programs
Leadership development programs are available consisting anywhere from 1 day workshops to 12 month courses. Information for upcoming courses are available on the intranet. Please note that at this stage these courses are only available to employed/salaried specialists.
Clinical Symposia
Many Clinical Institutes hold an annual symposia where national and international speakers provide up-to-date knowledge on best practice and emerging trends. Each symposium presents opportunities to showcase Epworth specialists, quality of care and also offer educational opportunities to clinicians. Symposia may vary from a broad range of topics or focus on a specific theme.
EMF grants hub
The Epworth Medical Foundation (EMF) is committed to investing in the development of Epworth employees and accredited VMOs, providing in excess of $3 million of funding for internal grants every year.
