Mr Michael Yii graduated with honours from St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and commenced his cardiothoracic surgical training at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London where he also completed his Masters of Surgery. He completed his Fellowship at the Royal Children Hospital in Melbourne and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, USA and was the acting Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. He is a visiting professor at the Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital in Zhengzhou, Henan Province PRC as well as University of Medicine 1, Yangoon, Myanmar. Mr Michael Yii's specialities include pacing implants and explants, aortic surgery, aortic root surgery, arrythmia surgery, coronary bypass and valvular surgery.
