Overview

Dr Kate Dunn, Medical Oncologist, will discuss updates in the use of hormonal therapies for both early stage and metastatic breast cancer, and discuss what to watch for with the new class of drugs CDK4/6 inhibitors which are now standard of care and will be widely used with their new listing on PBS.

She will also aim to give a rapid tour of useful online resources for patient breast cancer risk counselling and supportive care during treatment.

  • Display a working knowledge of new class of drug in first line therapy for metastatic breast cancer in all ER+ patients (CDK4/6 inhibitors)
  • Identify the best resources for monitoring cancer patients whilst on therapy and providing supportive care during all stages of the disease
