Dr Alex Tai graduated from Monash University in 2008. After completing physician training at Monash Health, he pursued advanced training in infectious diseases at various Australian hospitals, including Monash Health, Austin Health, Barwon Health and Alice Springs Hospital. Alex was the Barwon health 2017 infectious diseases research fellow, and has subsequently worked across both Barwon health and Ballarat health in general medicine and infectious diseases. He has a broad array of infectious diseases interest, particularly in the subjects of antimicrobial resistance and travel medicine. After having his young family expand, with 2 boys under 2, Alex has relocated his family back to Melbourne in 2019 and has been working at the Epworth Eastern as part of Eastern Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine (EIDTM).
