Dr Ashish Srinivasan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist who combines public appointments at Austin Health and Eastern Health with private practice. Following completion of gastroenterology training, Dr Srinivasan was awarded a prestigious clinical and research fellowship at Oxford University Hospital, where he furthered his training in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colonoscopy. He subsequently trained in intestinal ultrasound (IUS) in Germany at University Hospital Erlangen.

Dr Srinivasan maintains a keen interest in the latest medical therapies. His PhD, undertaken through Monash University, focused on optimising the use of advanced biologic therapies to improve patient outcomes in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. He also remains active in clinical teaching and research through his appointment as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne.

Dr Srinivasan has a particular interest in bowel disorders and colonoscopy. He is a skilled endoscopist (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, PillCam) with access to regular private and public endoscopy lists. Dr Srinivasan welcomes referrals from all aspects of gastroenterology, and is happy to be contacted directly by GPs and specialists to provide advice, discuss patients, and/or accommodate urgent referrals.
