About
A/Prof Geoff Wong is an academic cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist with a special interest in the management of heart rhythm disorders and inherited arrhythmia syndromes. Geoff has trained locally and overseas in electrophysiology at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London UK, the largest heart hospital in Europe.
Geoff performs the full spectrum of electrophysiological procedures including cryoablation and radiofrequency ablation procedures for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, pacemakers (conventional and physiological), CRT and defibrillator devices (transvenous and subcutaneous). He also offers zero-fluoroscopy procedures when appropriate to minimise the use of radiation. His research interests include investigating novel markers of atrial remodelling such as the impact of genetics in atrial arrhythmias.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys running, cycling and basketball. Geoff currently holds public appointments at Austin Health and the Northern Hospital.
