Dr Philippa Shilson is a general paediatrician and director of the Geelong Children's Clinic. Dr Shilson has been working in the Geelong region on and off since 2004. Referrals for medical, developmental and behavioural paediatric care are welcomed, including neonates, infant sleep/feeding, incontinence, eczema, asthma and allergy, adolescent health, poor growth, seizures, weight management, developmental delay, and difficult behaviours at all ages. Dr Shilson graduated from Monash University with honours in 2003 and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Feb 2014. RACP training was completed at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, Victorian Forensic Paediatric Medical Service, Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg, NETS Vic and Geelong Hospital. She teaches Deakin University students, Diploma Child Health students, 3 day APLS courses and junior FRACP trainees. She maintains a clinical and research interest in forensic paediatric medicine. Dr Shilson is married with three children, so if she is not at work, look for her at local playgrounds, libraries and swimming pools, trying to wear her kids out before bedtime.
