About
Dr McCarthy completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania in 2006 and physician training at Barwon Health, Western Health and Ballarat Base Hospital. In 2014-15 she was a fellow in the Clinical Trials Unit at Barwon Health. Dr McCarthy works between her public appointment at University Hospital Geelong and her private practice at Epworth Geelong. Dr McCarthy is a general adult Endocrinologist and sees all aspects of endocrinology. She is particularly interested in metabolic bone diseases and obstetric endocrinology.In addition to her clinical practice, she is involved with teaching of medical students and junior doctors and research.
