Mr Patrick Chan is a Neurosurgeon in Victoria, Australia who specialises in both brain and spinal surgery. Mr Chan graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical School in 1995. He qualified for Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Neurosurgery) in January 2006. In the same year, he was also awarded a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Melbourne for his thesis on Volumetric Analysis of Epilepsy Syndromes with Voxel-based Morphometry (VBM) In 2007, he was awarded the Combined Neurosurgical and Orthopaedic Spine Fellowship from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
Mr Chan provides a wide range of neurosurgical services including both brain and spinal surgery in tumour, trauma and degenerative diseases. With his fellowship background, he has a special interest in managing complex spinal conditions at all levels (cervical, thoracic, lumbar).
In addition to his private practice, Mr. Chan hold a public appointment at the Alfred Hospital.
