Mr Ramez Bassari

Mr Ramez Bassari has substantial experience in the fields of Bariatric (obesity/weight loss), Upper Gastrointestinal (reflux, stomach, oesophagus), Laparoscopic and General Surgery, including gallbladder and hernia surgery. He is also GESA accredited for gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

He attended the Auckland School of Medicine, graduating in 2004. He then undertook specialist general surgical training, obtaining his FRACS in 2012. This was followed by a further 4 years of subspecialist training in the fields of Bariatric and Upper GI surgery. These were completed both in NZ and Australia, including 2 years of accredited training through the ANZGOSA training scheme.
