About the program
The Paediatric Online Deteriorating Program, known as PaediResus, delivers three specialised life support courses for healthcare clinicians. These programs are offered through the Brookes Academy at Epworth.

- PaediResus – Paediatric Basic Life Support for Allied Health
- PaediResus – Paediatric Advanced Life Support for Nursing, Midwifery and Medical
The programs have been designed to improve user engagement and advancement of clinical skills, resulting in earlier recognition and escalation of deterioration in paediatric patients.
This proactive approach aims to improve both patient experience and patient outcomes. As digital literacy within healthcare grows, it is essential to develop innovative learning resources to maximise engagement.
This program includes branched video simulation and mixed reality learning to enhance learning opportunities. The program is uniquely designed to engage participants through an interactive scenario at the end of the theoretical content. This scenario allows users to immerse themselves in a deteriorating patient simulation and draw on the theory they have learnt to navigate through the knowledge questions.
