Entry Requirements
- Currently employed as or Clinical Nurse / Midwife Educator
- Have previously completed the Clinical Teaching and Facilitation workshop
- Endorsement by your direct line Manager
Duration
- 2-day program
- Two programs are run annually
Program Structure
This two-day program is delivered using a combination of group work, reflection and activities to aid translation of key concepts into practice with core focus on simulation practice.
Learning Content
Topics covered in the program include:
- Effective simulation scenario design
- Designing and facilitating medium / high fidelity simulation scenarios including understanding resources
- Contemporary models of debriefing
- Managing difficult debriefing

Registration through the Epworth Learning Management System.
Pathways to Further Study
Clinical Nurse Educators who successfully complete this program are eligible to proceed with postgraduate studies. Epworth staff are able to apply and may be eligible for scholarships through the Epworth Medical Foundation to support ongoing professional development.

This workshop is open to Nurses and Midwives across all Epworth sites who hold clinical education roles.
