Executive Director, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Epworth

With extensive executive experience in the healthcare industry, Kate has group responsibility for quality and safety, patient experience, education and learning, research and the professional oversight of nursing and midwifery talent.

Kate is an Adjunct Professor at the Deakin School of Nursing and has been the Chief Nurse in the public sector and now at Epworth.

Kate supports the professional development of nurses and midwives throughout their careers, and strongly believes they make a substantial difference to patient experience and outcomes.

Sally Morison

Director of Clinical Services, Epworth Geelong

Sally Morison has over 22 years of clinical leadership experience at Epworth and she has worked at multiple hospitals including Epworth Freemasons, Epworth Eastern and Epworth Geelong. In her current role, Sally is responsible for patient experience, clinical governance, risk management and the management of the nursing and allied health workforce.

During her extensive career, Sally completed a number of tertiary and leadership programs, most recently completing her Master of Clinical Leadership at Deakin University. Sally is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a vibrant workplace culture.

Lisa Edwards

Director of Clinical Services, Epworth Eastern

Lisa has been at Epworth for 15 years, joining as Quality Manager at Epworth Eastern in Box Hill, before progressing to lead the organisation through three successful accreditation periods, as the Group Director of Quality. Lisa has been the Director of Clinical Services at Epworth Eastern since 2018, leading the clinical team through $162M redevelopment and expansion of the Box Hill site.

Prior to joining Epworth, Lisa has spent over a decade in nursing leadership, optimising patient care and fostering a supportive work environment focused on clinical safety, patient outcomes and exceptional patient experience.

Suzie Hooper

Director of Clinical Services, Epworth Camberwell

Suzie is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in ICU / CCU, cardiac, pulmonary, general rehabilitation, nurse education and project management. She has held a variety of clinical and management roles in the healthcare sector, including Nurse Manager, Director of Nursing and CEO.

Suzie holds a Master of Nursing Leadership and she is passionate about nursing research and nurse-led models of care.

Kate Steen

Director of Clinical Services, Epworth Richmond

Kate is responsible for nursing and allied health professional practice standards, patient experience, quality of care and the operational management of clinical services at Epworth Richmond.

Prior to joining Epworth, Kate was in leadership roles across both the private and public healthcare sectors, including senior professional and operational leadership roles at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Alfred, Cabrini Health and Austin Health.

Scott Norman

Director of Clinical and Maternity Services, Epworth Freemasons

Scott is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied health services at Epworth Freemasons, focusing on operational management, clinical safety and patient experience. He has led a number of new service developments over his time at Epworth, including the clinical implementation of the Head and Neck cancer service at Epworth Richmond and the Apheresis and STEM cell transplant program at Epworth Freemasons.

Scott completed his graduate year at Epworth and has since gained extensive experience across multiple private and public hospitals, including roles as Nurse Unit Manager and Associate Director of Clinical Services. He has a Master of Business Administration and is passionate about coaching and developing teams to achieve success and excellent patient outcomes.

Phillipa Power

Group Director for Clinical Workforce

Phillipa is focused on leading the development of sustainability, continuity and agility in the clinical workforce at Epworth, to meet current and future demand, for nursing, midwifery and allied health.

Phillipa is a Registered Nurse with a clinical background in ED, ICU, cardio-thoracics and remote rural nursing. Phillipa has worked across all sectors, including healthcare (human and veterinary), social insurance, vocational rehabilitation, group training and labour hire, nursing workforce and strategic projects in Tasmania and Victoria.

Nicole Argall

Group Director Clinical Education and Dean Nursing Academy

Nicole has over 20 years experience in clinical education, leadership, and management roles. She is also a Critical Care trained Registered Nurse, with a Master in Health Science. Nicole joined Epworth following a secondment to the Department of Health, where she was responsible for securing $270M to support nursing and midwifery training across the Victorian public health sector with the ‘Making it Free to Study Nursing and Midwifery’ program. She has also advocated on critical issues affecting the future of the health workforce.

Nicole brings with her a passion for leading a highly skilled professional nursing and midwifery workforce and she is committed to evidence-based best practice and excellence in patient experience and outcomes.
