The workshop aims to provide insight and understanding into the leadership capability of a Nurse / Midwife working at the early stages of their career. It is a foundation for success and career progression to Nursing and Midwifery leadership roles at Epworth.
Entry requirements
Current Graduate in any of the following programs at Epworth HealthCare:
- Registered Nurse Graduate Support Program
- Perioperative Nurse Graduate Support Program
- Mental Health Nurse Graduate Support Program
- Enrolled Nurse Graduate Support Program
- Registered Midwife Graduate Support Program
Duration
- The workshop is scheduled as part of Development Day 3 of the Graduate Support program of which staff are automatically enrolled
- 4 hour workshop
Program structure
- The workshop is delivered with a combination of group work, reflection and activities to aid translation of key concepts into practice.
Learning content
Topics covered in the face-to-face workshop include:
- Developing Self Awareness and Managing Self
- Emotional Intelligence and Styles at Work.
Applications
Automatic enrolment and compulsory component as part of the Graduate Support program.
