Mr Brett Moreira is a Melbourne trained surgeon and Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

Brett started his medical career as a physiotherapist graduating with honours. He spent 9 years as a physiotherapist, working at Brighton Spinal Group and in a variety of elite sporting areas including Melbourne Football Club, Tennis Australia and South Melbourne Soccer Club.

Committed to improving outcomes for his patients Brett returned to study medicine and subsequently trained in orthopaedic surgery. Brett commenced private practice in 2021 at both Epworth Richmond and John Fawkner Private Hospital as an Orthopaedic Surgeon and is currently an on-call Trauma Surgeon at Western Health and Consultant Surgeon at St Vincent’s Health in Fitzroy.  

Brett has an interest in shoulder, hip and knee joint surgery, in particular, robotically assisted joint replacements and trauma.  He is actively involved in training and direct supervision for orthopaedic registrars, as well as medical students from University of Melbourne, Notre Dame and Deakin University. Brett enjoys and understands the value of working in a team to achieve great outcomes for his patients.
