• All specialist fees covered for patients with eligible health cover (some out of pocket fees may apply)
  • Refer to the next available endoscopy list or nominate a proceduralist
  • Available across Epworth in Box Hill, East Melbourne, Geelong and Richmond

Because of our hospital setting, Epworth specialists can perform advanced endoscopic techniques, minimising the need for additional procedures.

If polyps or abnormal tissues are detected, we have the surgical expertise ready to treat in the same admission. This helps the patient avoid an unnecessary second admission or to repeat bowel prep.

They will also benefit from continuity of care at Epworth, if further treatment or investigation is required.

We specialise in

  • colonoscopy
  • gastroscopy
  • biopsy
  • polyp removal and lifts
  • endoscopic mucosal resections (EMR) to remove precancerous, early-stage cancer or other abnormal tissues
  • endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
  • capsule endoscopy (ingestible camera to visualise the small bowel)
  • double balloon enteroscopy (DBE)
  • bronchoscopy.
