You can self-fund any procedure or surgery at Epworth including:
Gynaecology
Advanced laparoscopic surgery, management of endometriosis, care for gynaecological cancers, infertility treatments, and a range of investigative procedures.
Orthopaedic surgery
Hip fractures, knee injuries involving ligaments, tendons, and cartilage, management of articular cartilage damage, as well as procedures for carpal tunnel syndrome and Dupuytren’s disease.
Spinal surgery
Herniated discs, scoliosis, spinal arthritis, and spinal tumours.
Maternity
Packages available for vaginal births and caesarean section births.
Weight loss surgery
Gastric sleeve surgery and gastric bypass surgery.
Urological surgery
Benign prostate enlargement, bladder cancer, bladder dysfunction, bladder stones, kidney cancer, kidney stone disease, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and urinary incontinence.

Can I choose my own specialist?
Yes. Self-funded patients have the freedom to choose their preferred Epworth specialist. Please be aware that some Epworth doctors don’t accept self-funded patients, we recommend you check with them directly before obtaining a referral.

Epworth provides obligation-free estimates before booking. Final costs may vary depending on treatment changes or extended hospital stays.

What other fees will I have?
Our Epworth estimate covers the hospital portion of your care, including theatre fees, accommodation fees, prostheses consumables.
However, additional fees may apply from providers outside the hospital estimate.
These includes surgeon/specialist and assistant surgeon fees, anaesthetist fees, pathology and imaging services and pharmacy.
