Associate Professor Jane Fitzpatrick is a specialist Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician in private practice and at the University of Melbourne in the School of Health Sciences. She has been a Fellow of the Australasian College of Sports and Exercise Medicine since 1992 and was the Treasurer of the College for several years. She was a founding member of the International Olympic Committee Triathlon Medical Commission and the team doctor for the Australian Triathlon Team for 10 years. Jane is currently the team physician for the Australian Cross Country Ski Team and the Medical Director for the Australian Biathlon Team. She is a member of the International Biathlon Union Medical Committee (and chairs the Therapeutic Use Exemption Committee) and was the Medical Director for the Australian Winter Youth Olympic Games Team, Lillehammer 2016.Jane's research has focused on the use of biologicals including plateletrich plasma in the management of tendinopathy and osteoarthritis.
