Dr Jie Shen (Jason) Fok

Dr Fok is a highly trained consultant physician specialising in adult allergy and immunology. He has, over the years, developed vast work and research experience in this specialty, with special interests in angioedema, urticaria, complex anaphylaxis, drug allergy, allergic rhinitis, food allergy, mastocytosis etc.

He is not foreign to public speaking and academic research. He has been a regular invited speaker at various international platforms in recent years, including the World Allergy Organisation Congress and the Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology. He is well-published in international peer-reviewed allergy/immunology journals with high impact factor, especially in the niche field of urticaria and angioedema. He is a regular participant in international focus meetings involving drug hypersensitivity, urticaria and hereditary angioedema.

He is passionate about medical education. He has been a clinical examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is regularly involved in medical student teaching.

He enjoys performing procedures, including skin testing for food allergy and rhinitis, as well as drug skin test, oral drug challenges and drug desensitisation for antibiotic allergy and peri-operative anaphylaxis.
