About
Dr Kenneth Leong is a reproductive gynaecologic and robotic surgeon based in Melbourne. He is a Monash IVF infertility clinician trained in advanced minimally invasive gynaecology surgery. He performs all stages of laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries for uterine fibroids and laparoscopic tubal reversal surgery.
He also sees a large number of older couples requiring egg donation to help them conceive. With The World Egg Bank program available only through Monash IVF, a large number of women who have trouble obtaining an egg donor can now tap into this exclusive program to enlist the help of donors from the USA. Men with severe sperm issue could also obtain sperm from the Monash IVF sperm bank. Dr Leong has helped countless men conceive this way. One other large group of patients Dr Leong sees are the women with significant period pains who may have endometriosis. The use of robotic surgery has also helped Dr Leong extend laparoscopic surgery to women with large uterine fibroids or uteruses who previously would need open surgery for their operations. Myomectomy (uterine fibroid surgery) and hysterectomy (uterus removal surgery) can now be performed 95 percent of the time either via conventional straight stick laparoscopy or robotic assisted laparoscopy.
