About
Dr Damon Thomas has been practicing in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery for more than a decade. After earning his medical degree from the University of Auckland in New Zealand, he received his plastic and reconstructive surgery training in Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand, followed by Melbourne, Australia. He completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in 2005. He began a fellowship at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery in 2006. This allowed him to gain invaluable expertise in all aspects of aesthetic surgery including the enhancement and rejuvenation of the breast, face, and body. Following this Damon completed a one year Fellowship in Paediatric Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.Damon's areas of interests include paediatric hand, adult hand, microsurgery, reconstructive surgery, and all aspects of aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery. Damon is a Paediatric Hand and Microvascular Surgeon at The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne. He also works at Barwon and Austin Health.
