About
Prof Jitendra Vohra is a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist with wide experience in all fields of Cardiology. He established the Electrophysiogy Service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, implanted the first ICD in Australia and started the ICD follow up clinic. He was a founder member of Cardiology Department at Epworth Hospital and was also a founder member of Cardiac genetic Clinic at the RMH. He helped establishing Genetic testing for inherited arrhythmias at Victorian Cardiac Genetic Services. He has trained a large number of national and international cardiology trainees at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Epworth Hospital. He was awarded an AM for services to Cardiology and life time achievement award from the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
