Several specialist medical colleges have accredited Epworth facilities as registered training sites, enhancing our capacity to offer postgraduate medical training across a broad range of specialties.

The Commonwealth Specialist Training Program (STP) supports registrar training in the following specialties:

  • General Medicine
  • General Surgery
  • Gynaecology
  • Haematology
  • Medical Administration
  • Oncology
  • Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Rehabilitation Medicine

In addition to STP-supported roles, Epworth also runs accredited training positions in:

  • Basic Physician Training
  • Intensive Care Medicine
  • Neuropsychiatry / Psychiatry
  • Paediatric Allergy & Immunology

Grand Rounds are a key educational meeting in the Epworth medical education events calendar. The meetings take place every Tuesday at 12.30pm via Zoom and attract a broad audience (clinical and non-clinical) across all sites. Presentations are usually 30 minutes followed by a short Q&A. Sessions are chaired by the Dean of Epworth Clinical School.
