Trained in Melbourne and London, my work in gynaecology ranges from dealing with abnormal smears, contraception, infertility, menstrual disorders, through to menopausal problems.
Having developed an interest in pelvic reconstructive surgery for prolapse and incontinence, I offer urodynamic studies for investigation of urinary incontinence problems. I also developed the Whitehorse Pelvic Floor and Continence Therapist and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist.
Besides using conventional laparoscopy for advanced surgery, I trained in robotic surgery using the Da Vinci platform. Furthermore, I also offer the use of the Single Incision Surgical (SILS) technique for major surgery like hysterectomy, myomectomy, removal of ovarian cysts, and resection of endometriosis. Using such techniques reduces patient morbidity and improves convalescence rates.
In Obstetrics, I offer pre-pregnancy genetic counselling and management of complex medical problems. Emphasis on good pelvic floor care is undertaken.
Underlying all this is a philosophy to providing supportive care and holistic care to women in times that can be challenging to them.
